A sculptural coastal bowl inspired by the quiet depth and movement of the ocean’s bathyal zone — where light softens, colors deepen, and shifting currents leave traces beneath the surface.

The exterior is finished in a soft ivory glaze with subtle cobalt movement along the rim, creating a calm and refined silhouette. Inside, layered glazes developed organically during firing into dramatic currents of indigo, deep sapphire, mineral bronze, and sea-glass green. Cellular textures and atmospheric blooms create a surface reminiscent of deep water, tidal stone, and bioluminescent movement beneath the sea.

Handbuilt and one of a kind, this piece balances restraint and unpredictability — a signature characteristic of the DMV & Co. Coastal Study series.
